The interactive 44-key remote control gives you complete access to color banks, pattern layers, timing changes, spiral controls, brightness, and your saved patterns. Create and save up to 14 different patterns, then use the Tap Tempo button to change patterns in time to a beat. With the 44-key remote you can create custom color palettes, change chaser modes on the fly, melt galaxy effects, save your favorites, add or remove layers, cue changes in time to a beat, synchronize and much more.

The compact 7-key remote is programmed with handy features to have on the go and for easy performances cues. You can also use the small remote to access saved patterns, synchronize multiple hoops, quickly switch between modes, and alter your brightness. The 44-key remote can do everything the 7-key remote can do, but many people find it more convenient to carry around the smaller-sized 7-key remote when full design features aren’t needed. Even if you don’t have your remote control on you, you still have control of the hoop. Changing to the next Mode is as easy as turning the hoop off and then on again.

The controls are thoughtfully designed for performers, intermediate and novice hoopers alike. Press the Random Colors button to generate fresh color palettes, or add a multi-color spiral layer around a motif. Invert the negative spaces of patterns, or play with the Size of the image displayed. Turn on Color Lock, create your custom color palette, then watch as the hoop shuffles through patterns using only your selected colors.

Sync up your FutureHoop patterns and changes with other FutureHoops to create a choreographed performance lightscape with other performers! We’ve thoughtfully designed the hoop to be geared towards performers so the hoop makes changes seamlessly as you cue the customized patterns or when you press the Next button.

Melt hues to make your own custom chill Galaxy mode using blended colors. Alter the timing and speed of mind-bending chasers and isolation effects on the fly. These are just a few examples of neat ways you can edit and customize your patterns and syncability.

The removable battery design lets you easily switch to a fresh battery so you can glow all night or as long as you have extra batteries on hand. In a 5/8 hoop, the battery creates a small light gap in the LED strip where the battery is housed. In a 3/4 hoop, the battery slides under the LEDs so there is no light gap. FutureHoop Shuffle comes with x4 rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and a charger. Use only ONE rechargeable lithium-ion battery in the hoop at a time. In a non-removable battery build the batteries are hard-wired into the hoop. This achieves a nice balance, no LED gap, and allows the hoop to run longer on a single charge (no need to swap out batteries), however when the batteries run out the hoop needs to be recharged via a micro-USB cable. The Non-removable battery build is only available in 3/4.

There is a small red light inside the hoop that turns on when the hoop is charging. The red light turns off when the hoop is fully charged. Unplug your hoop when it has completed charging. The USB wall charger that comes with your hoop has a light on it to let you know that it’s receiving power from the outlet. This isn’t an indicator of whether the hoop charging, only that it’s receiving power. Non-removable battery FutureHoops are compatible with any USB charger or USB power source as long as you have a micro USB cable.

• FutureHoop patterns with more black space than color require fewer LEDs on at once, which saves power and extends battery life. Simple, minimal patterns (like spirals and chasers) can last for many hours on a single charge.

It’s best to keep your batteries charged in between hooping sessions so you can pick up and play whenever you want. If you know you won't be using your hoop for many months it's ok to store at half charge. Don't leave lithium-ion batteries at near-zero charge for extended periods, and avoid storing them in hot places like a car or direct sunlight. Regardless of care, li-ion batteries will lose some capacity over time. It’s best to keep your battery in good shape to extend the glow time it can give back to you.

We recommend HDPE tubing as the default option for LED hoops. Since LED hoops have batteries and weighted internals, the lightness of polypro is not as noticeable from an HDPE LED hoop made in the same size. HDPE tubing is naturally a more flexible material and absorbs impacts well. Polypro tubing is stiffer, giving it a different kind of feedback during hoop play. However, polypro tubing is more brittle in comparison, and prone to cracking on impacts or when extremely flexed. The added weight of LEDs, batteries, weighted internals only increases the chance of the tubing cracking. Polypro is extra susceptible to cracking in cold temperatures. Does the tubing color affect the lights? When the hoop is in mid to high speed motion the tubing color difference is almost indistinguishable. When the hoop is moving slower you can see that the tubing is different and may notice a slight tint. The color difference will be the most notable when the hoop is on an all white setting.

The FutureHoop comes with a layer of hoop wax to provide a clear and amazing layer of grip. Moodhoops Hoop Wax is a lightweight, removable and transparent alternative to sanding or taping your hoop. Hoop wax is clear and doesn’t transfer to your clothes or skin.

Extra hoop wax can be reapplied to keep up the grip. Add-on extra Hoop Wax so you can add more grip and reapply! Rub vigorously along the inner ring of your hoop to create a textured surface.

The FutureHoop uses sensors to be able to pick up the button press signals from the remote controls. It’s best not to use regular grip tape with this hoop, as the grip tape (whether in black or white) blocks the signal and shortens the signal distance.

Sanding or waxing the hoop does not affect the signal and is the best option for hoop grip that does not interrupt the remote control signal.

*Hoop sizes are measured by the Outer Diameter (OD). This measurement is taken across the widest part of the hoop, including the width of the tubing. For HD hoops, add approx. 0.5 oz to the weight of the hoop.
For polypro hoops, subtract approx. 0.2 to 0.4 oz from the weight of the hoop.
