My names is Josue , and I began my flow arts journey 2 years ago in august & I was inspired by the festival community , along with my best friend Monica. The first time I picked up a LED hoop was at a high school party and the theme was “RAVE” and I noticed she had a LED hoop and was hooping at the party & ever since I saw her , we made great friends and this I knew off the bat that this was something I was interested in . And the more and more I picked up the hoop I found a passion for it.

Over all when I hoop not only does it bring a smile to my face , but to those around me I love being able to share the PLUR lifestyle & entertainment to everyone who first shared it with me at my first music festival ! Hooping is something I’ll def be doing for the rest of my life , it’s creates a sort of energy outlet & inspires others to get out of your comfort zone and body & to always try something new , even if you think your not good at it .. over all the important thing in flow arts is to have fun!
My style of flow is very fast , which comes with A lot of practice and muscle memory! A Hooper I really am inspired by is Skeeter, he’s one of the first male hoopers I noticed in the flowarts community & ever since I’ve seen his skills , just inspires me a lot more to be able to reach that kind of skill level . He’s def one of my biggest inspirations.
I practice most of my hooping either at the park around the corner from my home or just in my living.
But I prefer the park. I learned how to pick up more on hooping throughout social media & I can also learn more by doing and finding my flow myself.
I used to be overweight & with my love for music & hoop dance I began to see a lot of improvement within my skills , my health & my physical appearance by losing 85 Pounds !
Along the way I’ve met very great friends that I will have in my life along with other flowmies that I share this passion with ! The way the flowarts community has changed my life a lot within the last 2 years , and has given me much more confidence to be able to work with others and teach others what I know & encourage others to start there flow journey of their own liking!!
Throughout my performance journey , I’ve been given a lot of huge opportunities to connect with artists that I’ve always loved & respected !
I’ve performed for Snails, Kristina Sky, Shiba San, Armnhmr, and Adventure Club.
I’m am partnered with NightSpectrum & Sunday Funday Fresno , they are a production team affiliated with Dj’s and Flow artists and events hosts I’m apart of there Performance team and I also do Host Friday Flowarts in Downtown Fresno ,CA at the cultural arts park to host meet ups there and meet others from the community.
I promote & advertise all the events hosted in Fresno ,CA along with my performance team we do public shows for the community and show others what we do to express our feelings and it’s within dance.
My up coming events for this year , would be Dreamstate SoCal 2021 , Countdown & Escape, and I’m super excited to be attending those very soon!
