Heather Lowery - Cedar City, UT
Hi my name is Heather! I found the joy that is the flow community mid summer of 2016. I’m my younger years I was big into dance and hooping brought that connection back for me. I love all things creative and when movement can be involved I’m all in.

My main props are Hoops and silk fans.
I am very passionate about teaching. I love to see something click for someone and knowing that I helped in any way is an amazing feeling.I see myself teaching more than performing though I love aspects of both.
I would describe my flow as a dance flow. I tend to stray from hoop tech and instead lean towards free flowing. I improv every flow session and allow my movements to envelop whatever emotions I am feeling that day. I am transparent in my flow. Each piece you see is a little part of me I’m sharing with you.
I find my best flow sessions are outdoors. I love to flow in nature, it gives me a sense of grounding in my flow.
I started my flow journey the summer of 2016. I had seen hooping at various festivals but was always nervous to give it a try myself. I finally found the courage when I was healing post surgery, and needed to find a fitness regimen that didn’t include my arms. After some quick Youtube Searching, I found Hoop mama Deanne Love. I was immediately captivated by her grace and strength. I knew I had stumbled on to something amazing.
The flow community has become a much bigger part of my life than I could have ever imagined. I have been fortunate enough to connect with so many amazing people that I otherwise would have never come across. The flow community is filled with so much love and support that it makes me feel like I can be my most authentic self always. The flow community has the potential to make great impacts in people’s lives. Flow artists continue the circle of support as they are known to return the love they receive. I hope to impact the flow community by connecting with fellow artists and expanding together. I have always loved to teach and hope to bring the world of movement to new bodies far and wide.
