Kylee Lipinski - Farmington Hills, MI
Hello! My name is Kylee, and I am a hula hoop performer and teacher from Michigan. I have been hooping for 4 years, and I have had the pleasure of traveling all around the U.S. to teach and perform! Hula hooping has brought so much meaning and joy into my life, and I am forever grateful! It has been such a huge help with depression/anxiety, it has made me feel so much more confident and proud of myself, and it has brought so many wonderful people and experiences into my life.

Hoops are my main props! I specialize in on body movements with 1-6 hoops.
I have recently been working on adding inversions to my hooping, and juggling has become a huge part of my practice!! I also plan on spending more time with my other props as well.. (poi, fans, leviwand)
I really love helping other flow artists reach their goals. I have a lot of involvement with teaching to not only my local community but online to hoppers around the world. I really love helping people get a move down that they thought wasn’t possible for them.
Don’t give up! Sometimes things take time; but if you keep going you will smash your goals! YouTube tutorials were how I learned, and joining online classes!!
Being able to teach at retreats around the U.S. has been amazing. Spin hula hoop convention has become the highlight of every year, and I am very proud to be a part of it and come up with these awesome performances for it as well.
In a nutshell, I would describe my flow as very smooth. I am very proud of this, as this wasn’t always the case!!! But I have spent many many hours drilling moves and combos, and I am very happy with my fluidity. Some of my biggest inspirations have been Michele McCoy, Morgan Jenkins, Amber flowz, Zachary lambert, and so many beautiful artists.
At my local amphitheater that is hidden away and always empty… I get the stage to myself!! I owe my life to this hoop spot! 😂
I began my journey in early 2018, the day I found the first hula hoop video I’ve ever seen on social media. I immediately ordered a polypro hoop from moodhoops and could not wait to begin learning.
I never felt like I ever had a community or a group I belonged to, until I was graciously accepted by the hoop community. I am so grateful for the community of people that I can give to and support in any way I can, and who do that for me as well. The community adds so much more meaning to the art.
I hope to one day be involved with creating and organizing events! One way I like to help other event organizers is spread the word!!
I pride myself on my teaching skills and I highly recommend checking out my tutorials on Instagram, YouTube and patreon! I have HUNDREDS out there!
One of my favorite events that I am hired for each year is Plymouth, Michigan’s art in the park! It is an amazing art fair. The amount of children and kids who come and surround me are amazing, the energy is unmatchable in this community event, and then for the last 10 minutes I pass out hoops for everyone to try!! I teach moves to the kids and it’s super fun.
This year I am going to be at Spin Hula hoop convention, which I have been preparing 2 very interesting performances for 👀 and I actually had to cut out attending some other flow festivals because this summer is my wedding/honeymoon.Let summer I did high altitude which was amazing!! I hope to attend again in 2023.
