Hi hoopers! My name is Sasha, but some of you may know me as Circlesanity 🙂 I’ve been hooping for a little over 3 years! I’ve also dabbled with other props such as silk fans and levitation wands, but hula hoops without a doubt have my heart forever 🙂 I hope to inspire others in the same way that I was inspired, and to spread the joy and love of hooping for as long, and as far as I can. <3

My two top favorites are definitely hoops and silk veil fans. Hoops will forever be my #1 prop , but I love them both so much for many different reasons.
There are so many different aspects in the flow community that I am passionate about ! The feeling of love and acceptance is indescribable. But I especially love being a part of the online flow community. For the longest time I didn't realize just how helpful the online flow community was. When I started hooping I didn't exactly have the proper knowledge of what I needed, that's why I absolutely love to help any hoopers that are trying to find exactly what they need in the beginning of their flow journey. There are so many different people and resources online that can be so helpful, especially for someone who is only starting out.
I love trick flow the most. I love making my movements go along with the beat. But my flow also greatly depends on my mood. For example if I'm feeling happy and energetic, ill flow fast and do a lot of tricks. compared to if I'm feeling down or relaxed I'll usually stick to slower flow and on body hooping.
My deck is my favorite place to practice! I love having a glass door behind me that I can use as a mirror when practicing new tricks. I also love having a flat surface which I can go barefoot on. It makes me feel much more connected to my flow and fuels my inspiration! Of course when it's winter time you can usually find me practicing inside the house. But if there is a warm day I'll usually take advantage of it and practice outside.
One video. Just one video changed my life. While scrolling through Facebook one day, I came across a video of a girl hooping with an led hoop. My jaw dropped as I have never seen anything like it before (in fact I’ve never seen hooping before that in general). Her movements were so graceful, and the pretty lights just made it all so much better! At that moment I knew that it would be something I had to try. I felt such a strong connection and urge to do it, like nothing I’ve ever felt before. And as soon as I had a hoop in my hand, I was addicted! To think that the circumstances of that day would have been different, I might of never seen that video, which means I wouldn’t have found out about hooping ( to me that’s a very scary thought ). It’s crazy how much influence social media has on us. And that’s exactly why I hope to inspire others in the same way 🙂
Being a part of the flow community has touched my life in so many different and positive ways. I’ve made so many wonderful connections and friendships that I cherish with all my heart. I’ve never truly felt the acceptance and love that the flow community has to offer until I became a part of it. There are literally thousands and thousands of flow artists with so many diverse styles, and seeing them all being so welcoming, encouraging and inspiring makes my heart so full! I especially love to watch the progress that a flow artists can make. Even though one persons flow may carry similarities to another persons flow, the individual styles people develop always blow me away. It’s so amazing to be able to share the same passion with so many people while inspiring and learning from each other! No matter who you are or where you’re from, you will always find that bond and connect with others because of flow arts.
