Hi! I’m Linda, and my mission is to inspire people to express themselves in their own unique way, to simply have more fun and to believe in their own creativity.
Before I discovered the hoop I was a primary school teacher with a big passion for creativity. I created my own card game about training your imagination. I started facilitating workshops to other teachers about how they can provide creative education. I was always looking for new ways to make education more motivating and fun.
When I discovered the hoop, I was instantly hooked. This little circle gave me so much joy, it allowed me to express myself and to explore more creative possibilities in my dance. I was happiest when I was spreading this joy to other people. So I took my hoops everywhere. From the children I worked with (they got obsessed too), to the park, to the train station… Everywhere!
Very soon I wanted to become a hoop teacher. I followed online courses from Deanne Love (Hoop Love Coach and Little Circles) and I started teaching and facilitating workshops.
So now I’m a hoop teacher, and when I’m teaching at a festival, I simply can’t stop hooping. When there are people who want to learn it, I just go on for hours.
Also, I’m a creator. I’m passionate about new ideas coming to life, and I love to illustrate (I learned these skills at a study called ‘Communication and Multimedia Design’). When a few years ago the idea of creating a book about hooping came to me, I wanted to start immediately. It was a perfect mix of creating, illustrating and spreading my joy for the hoop.
So now I’m a hooper, a hoop teacher and a hoop entrepreneur. I’m excited for the many things I’m going to create for the hoop community in the future.
