Can I put grip tape on my FutureHoop?

FutureHoop Designer, Remote, and Pro use sensors to communicate with the remote control. It’s best not to use regular grip/gaffer tape with this hoop, as the tape (whether in black or white) blocks the signal and shortens the signal distance. These hoop models will come standard with 3M grip tape applied to the inner ring of the hoop that wont interfere with the signals.

FutureHoop Shuffle does not have sensors or remotes and can use any kind of grip tape. Shuffle hoops come lightly sanded with a thin layer of hoop wax applied along the inner ring of the hoop. Sanding and waxing the hoop does not affect the signal and is the best option for hoop grip without using tape that does not interrupt the remote control signal.
