q & a
My journey with flow arts started 9 years ago! I actually started because I found a hula-hoop in a rubbish pile on the street! I took it home and started playing with it, and really picked up a liking to it! I had never really been drawn to hula-hooping before and I had no idea how much this seemingly random decision would change the course of my life. I love the creative outlet, the flowstate, the friends I have made, the places it has allowed me to travel, and the career I am so happy to have.

I am particularly passionate about triple hoops and creating and sharing new shapes and patterns!
As human beings, we cannot underestimate the importance of community. When I started hula-hooping I did so because I enjoyed it, I did not expect there to be such a big community and to be touched so much by this community. The ongoing love and support from friends and strangers alike is something to be so cherished! Some of my closest friends are from the flow community, and I love that you can turn up to any city in the world, find a local flow jam, and feel connected even when far from home!
Many people, especially the younger generation, are feeling more lost, isolated and disconnected. The flow community can make a real difference in bringing people together, fostering community meet ups, and helping people to learn new skills that have positive physical and mental benefits. I love sharing skills and uplifting others and it is really important that we all continue to support and include all people within our community to make it a safe, loving, and supportive space.
