Are you an active performer? If so, where have you been booked recently for past or upcoming performances?
****************************************************
Yes. I have been booked with Suspended Gravity for a stage production in the Kindling Festival in July 2025. I also do gigs with Hoop Rebel based out of Memphis, TN.
****************************************************
What do you love about the experience of performing?
****************************************************
I love connecting with the crowd and showing people the joy of hooping.
****************************************************
What does 2025 have in store for you? At which festivals/events/retreats can you be found over the summer and through the rest of the year? Will you be performing or teaching?
****************************************************
As of right now my hoop retreat teaching gigs are over since Oasis just ended in May 2025. I will be teaching at more events in 2026 that I am very excited about!!
Yes I love teaching. At the moment I wish I had more time to dedicate to my practice (new mom) but I know I will have more time in the future because I will never stop hooping which is what makes this practice so special to me. I also LOVE retreats and conventions where you get to skill share and meet other hoopers from around the world.

Do you have any flow related personal successes that you’d like to share?
************************************************************
Yes, I just released four different courses you can purchase online at hooptherapist.thinkific.com. I have an On-Body Course, Grip Course (for transitions and combos), Combo Cards Course (trick course), and a Beginner Starter Pack. Really proud of myself for getting these out into the world. Been a goal of mine for a while.
I would describe my flow as sassy and fun. I love hooping to pop, hip hop, and R&B. I would say I take a lot of inspirations from drag. I love the comedy camp aspect of drag and the lip syncing, which I can’t do without while hooping. HA!
I am so grateful to have my own little flow space in my home. It has 12ft ceilings which is the best for hooping! I also love to flow at a park with my headphones in.
I started my flow journey in Jan 2014. I got inspired from watching a friend of mine hula hooping at Bonnaroo 2013. I asked her to teach me and the rest is herstory.

What advice would you give to someone just starting their flow journey? Which tutorials or guiding principles helped you along the way?
***************************************************************************************************************************************
I would say if you want to get really good at it you need to practice a lot. The more you put in, the more you get out. Deanne Love on YouTube helped me a lot. I also loved watching GemGen on YouTube, she has tutorials as well. She is also the one who inspired me to make monthly progress videos. I would also suggest filming yourself. Not for others but for YOU. It is so helpful to see how you are doing tricks. The last advice I would give is don’t try to flow like someone else. The beauty of hooping is that is it you + a hula hoop. It is your unique expression that makes it so special.
It has gifted me with my best friends and people who share the same passion as I do. Once you have found that in life, I feel you are extremely lucky and I am so grateful I found it at such a young age. I love being able to go to events and tap into the community in that. Just being fully immersed for a few days is the best feeling.
