Tal Fransky, a dancer who specializes in modern and ballet dancing for 8 years. Her hoop journey started 3 years ago in India.
In India, Tal had met a special girl from the UK named Natasha Milne. Natasha taught Tal the basics, and from that point Tal continued to pave her own way with Hoopdancing.
Tal loves to practice with her hoops, continuously trying to develop her own personal touch by practicing new skills and tricks. The amazing views of India certainly inspired her and were the perfect background for Tal’s first steps in Hoopdancing.
Tal grasps her hoopdancing as a way for self-expression. Flowing together with a plastic circle and the attempt to find the delicate bond between the body and the space around us is a great way to acquire self-balance and it’s viewed by Tal as a form of meditation.

When did you begin your journey into the flow arts, and how were you inspired to start?
My first meeting with the hoop was in India in 2014. I saw a girl hooping on her waist and i fell in love!! I didn’t even know that there were more tricks than waist hooping 🙂 Then I got my first hoop and met a beautiful amazing teacher from UK, named Natasha. She taught me the basic tricks and then I continued alone. I learned a lot from YouTube and Instagram.
Why do you love performing?
It fulfills me, and gives me a lot of energy and motivation.
My main prop is hoop and double hooping. I’ve been hooping for 3 years. I am a hoop teacher for over a year. I’m also have history of modern and ballet dancing for 8 years
Where do you like to practice the most?
Everywhere!! I’m taking the hoop with me wherever I go.. But mostly i’m practicing at my studio in Tel Aviv (Studio Naim), in my neighborhood and in my house.
Have you received any honorable mentions or won awards related to your flow or artistry? Have you been featured on other sites? Have you performed at any large festivals?
I nominated as one of the 5 hoopers of Asia for year 2016 by Hooping.org. This year I’m gonna teach and performing at the Alpine Hoop Retreat at Austria.
How has being a part of the flow community touched your life? How can the flow community make an impact and how do you see yourself being a part of it?
The hoop changed my life. I’m hooping every time I can, and I take the hoop with me to every place I go! Here in Israel, we have a big and beautiful community and I’m making a lot of hoop connections in Tel Aviv. Hoopers from all the country are coming to our jams and we hoop together all night. It is beautiful.
Are you a part of a flow community or flow meet-up? Are there any local flow gatherings near you?
Once a month, hoopers from all over Israel come together for a flow jam in my city Tel Aviv and we hoop together until the night. We have a big beautiful community here in Israel, hoop love spread all over.
At which festivals/events/retreats can you be found over the summer and through the rest of the year?
This June (2017) I’m gonna teach and performing at the Alpine Hoop Retreat at Austria! Also you can find me in my classes every Wednesday and Thursday at Studio Naim, Tel Aviv 🙂
